Is a hard antler suitable for my dog?

Consider your dog’s teeth, age and chewing behaviour. WAG’s antler guidance cautions against use with puppy teeth and senior or vulnerable teeth. Ask your vet if a hard chew is appropriate for your dog.

Supervised chewing

Offer for up to 30 minutes per day under constant supervision. Antlers may splinter; inspect for sharp edges, remove fragments and replace the chew when it becomes small enough to swallow. Keep fresh drinking water available.

Diet and storage

This is a chew to complement a complete diet. Keep treats to no more than 10% of the daily diet. Store the chew in a cool, dry place and follow the supplied product’s care directions.
