Walking guidance
Test the brake, lock, line return and clip before every walk. Attach the clip to a secure collar or harness that fits your pet correctly. For a cat, use an escape-resistant walking harness and introduce outdoor walking gradually in a quiet area.
Keep the line short near roads, driveways, cyclists, other animals, crowds and blind corners. Choose a fixed short lead whenever close control is required. Do not use a retractable leash for unattended tie-out, and do not rely on the lock as a substitute for holding the handle firmly.
Safety and care
Never grip a moving line or allow it to wrap around hands, legs, people or pets. Retracting line can cause cuts or burns. Keep the line away from traffic, wheels and sharp edges, and avoid sudden high-speed stops.
