Feeding Enrichment, Bathing and Grooming
Press every suction cup firmly onto a clean, flat and smooth wall, bath, floor or other suitable surface. Wetting the surface first may improve adhesion. Test the grip before use, then spread a thin layer of suitable pet-safe soft, runny or mushy food through the nubs.
The raised rim helps catch food and drips. During baths or grooming, the mat can provide a supervised licking activity while you work. The manufacturer also describes it as a slow-feeder alternative for small to medium dogs.
Foods and Temperature
Only use foods and treats that are safe and appropriate for your individual dog and its normal diet. The filled mat can be partially frozen for a longer supervised licking activity. It is microwave friendly, but always check the food temperature before serving. Ask your veterinarian before use if your dog has allergies, digestive concerns or a prescribed diet.
Materials and Care
The orange LickiMat UFO is made from natural plant-based rubber and is listed by the manufacturer as BPA-free, PVC-free, phthalate-free and silicone-free. Wash it thoroughly after use, including between the nubs and around the suction cups. It is dishwasher safe, or it can be hand washed with warm water and suitable detergent. Rinse and dry completely before storage.
