Using the Classic Buddy
Place the mat on a stable surface and spread a thin layer of suitable pet food into the pattern. Wet food, puréed food or another treat that fits your dog’s usual diet can be used. Count any treats towards your dog’s daily food allowance.
Introduce the mat under supervision. It can be used as a slow feeder for small to medium dogs or for supervised licking activities with larger dogs. A compatible LickiMat Keeper may help hold the mat for puppies or dogs that try to chew it; the Keeper is sold separately.
Care and safety
Handwash the Classic Buddy after each use and allow it to dry naturally. It is freezer safe and microwave friendly. Follow the product instructions and check food temperature before serving.
This is a feeding mat, not a chew toy. Supervise every session and remove it if your dog starts chewing. Inspect the mat regularly and replace it if it becomes damaged or pieces loosen. Put it away once feeding is finished.
