Pets Area Dog Day Care

Before joining our regular daycare program, all new dogs must attend a First Day Behaviour Assessment. This is an important step to ensure every dog enjoys a safe and positive environment.

What to Expect:

• The assessment is booked as either a half day (up to 4 hours) or full day (up to 11 hours), charged at the standard daily rate based on your dog’s weight.
• Our experienced carers will monitor your dog’s behaviour, comfort levels, and social interactions throughout the day.
• Dogs will be introduced gradually to our playgroup in a controlled and calm setting.
• We assess play style, confidence, sociability, and responses to new people and dogs.
• A report will be shared with you, and if your dog is ready for group care, we will discuss a suitable routine.
• If we feel your dog is not quite ready, we will provide recommendations or suggest a future reassessment.

This process ensures every dog’s wellbeing and keeps our day care a safe space for all.

• 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM – Drop-off & early arrivals: calm settling-in and individual greetings
• 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM – Morning play and social check-ins
• 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM – Enrichment games and structured activity
• 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM – Nap and quiet rest
• 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM – Afternoon group play and manners training
• 5:30 PM – 6:00 PM – Wind-down time & pickups
